Sunday, May 9, at 11:00 a.m., adjacent to the registration tent, we will be conducting the ever-popular pitch-bait seminar and competition with lots of great prizes up for grabs.
Team photos with the country flags will be available at registration. This is an excellent keepsake of the fishing trip of a lifetime!
On Monday, May 10, to start the first day of fishing for non-angling guests, a kickoff cruise and photo opportunity aboard a party boat is available for watching the shotgun start. You can sign up for this during the team registration on Sunday. The boat will depart at 6:30 near where the teams board their boats. Don't miss it! You will get close to the famous arch and may even spot a sea lion or two.
Suggestion to teams with more than five anglers: Why not have the extra team members enter the Roosterfish Tournament on Tuesday, May 11? The rules for the tournament are simple. Catch a roosterfish, measure it, write down the time and length, and let it go. The tournament committee will be on the dock to collect your catch reports, and awards will be presented at the gala awards dinner party, Friday, May 14.
On Wednesday, May 10, the optional day trip to the magical community of Todos Santos, beaming with cozy restaurants, cafes, galleries and shops selling handcrafted items, is not to miss. The cost is $100, which covers transportation from Hotel Finisterra in an air-conditioned motor coach on a scenic route and lunch at the famous Café Santa Fe restaurant in Todos Santos. Plan to depart at 9:00 a.m. and return at 3:30 p.m. Great shopping opportunities abound in this quaint artist’s town. Space is limited, so be sure to sign up early.
